The Farmington Cardinals’ season is off to a promising 2-0 start , with a great, non-conference win over the Prairie Grove Tigers. The defense started off hot with a 20-yard fumble recovery returned by number 34, Zach Ralston. The second touchdown was made by
number 12, Cameron Vanzant with a 1-yard touchdown run. Prairie Grove caught up, leaving the score tied 14-14 after the first quarter.
Continuing on, the Cardinals went on to more scores. A 29-yard touchdown pass was thrown by Cameron Vanzant to number 24, Caden Elsik, along with a 19 yard touchdown pass from Vanzant to number 4, Devonte Donovan. A 4-yard touchdown run by Vanzant made it a 3rd touchdown. Another phenomenal touchdown was made by number 25, Kanye Taylor with a long 47-yard run. The Cardinals continued to shut down the Tigers with the score being 37-14 after the first half.

Pressing on after great halftime performances by the Cardettes and the Cardinal Cheer
Team, Prairie Grove gained a little more ground, but Farmington was persistent with the scoring, finishing the third quarter with the score being 44-27.

After a long battle, Coach JR Eldridge and the Farmington Cardinals put away the Prairie Grove Tigers. With no serious injuries or setbacks, the title of the highway returns to the Cardinals with the end score of 56-27.
