FARMINGTON TOPPLES SPRINGDALE AT HOME

The Cardinals won their final non-conference game of the season Friday night 14-7 over the Springdale Red Dogs.

Farmington (2-1) scored two touchdowns in the second half. Both of them came from the connection of Senior qb Ian Cartwright and Jr reciever Devonte Donavan.

The Farmington defense held the Red Dogs to 7 points and 5 first downs.

"I thought our defense played great all night long,” Farmington coach Mike Adams said. “We put them in one bad situation when we failed to maintain the corner on a punt return and gave up one score, but they played great. Our secondary did a great job covering some good receivers, and we were able to make a couple of picks late.”

Farmington has an off week next week then Harrison comes to Cardinal Stadium for the AAAAA West home opener.
