Farmington Takes Down Rogers Heritage in Season Opener

Friday, Aug. 28, saw the Farmington Cardinals beat the Rogers Heritage War Eagles in a 24-6 victory. The first quarter saw QB Ian Cartwright complete a 32-yard pass to Caden Elsik for Farmington’s first score. In the second quarter senior Caden Teague scored, bringing the score to 12-0. Heritage scored their only points of the game in the third quarter. The fourth quarter resulted in a safety by Hunter Nass, a field goal by Luis Zavala, and a returned interception by Devonte Donovan to bring the score to a 24-6 for a Cardinals win. That puts the Cardinals at a 1-0 record as they head into the Prairie Grove Tigers for the annual Battle of Hwy 62.
